A 5' wide by 4' high rectangular granite monument with a curved top honors the members of the Canadian armed forces who left home to liberated The Netherlands during World War II was dedicated by the Dutch Canadians of Nova Scotia on April 30, 2006.
The monument contains an outline map of The Netherlands, the images of the flags of Canada, Nova Scotia, and the Netherlands as well as a maple leaf, tulip and poppy. The monument is inscribed in English, French, Dutch, and Flemish. It is inscribed (in English):
