At the intersection with Hood Avenue in Sisters, turn onto Elm Street. In about 0.4 miles, Elm Street becomes FR16, Three Creek Lake Road. Travel S from the intersection for about 1.3 miles and turn right onto the Brooks-Scanlon Logging Road, FR1605. Continue generally NW then W for a total of 1.3 miles. Turn left onto Edgington Road, FR1505, and proceed 0.9 miles. Bear left on Peterson Burn Road and continue 0.2 miles to the corner on the right.

Alternatively, from the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally W on US20 and ORE242 for about 1.2 miles. Turn left onto Edgington Road, FR1505, and travel about 1.2 miles. Turn right, continuing on Edgington Road, and proceed as described above.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on an iron pipe; flush with ground, in a mound of stones

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is SW, about 45' from the centerline of Peterson Burn Road. There are two Carsonite posts. One, with PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals, bears W, 53" distant. The other, with a PROPERTY BOUNDARY decal, bears S, 42" from the corner. In addition, there are two T-posts. One, with PROPERTY BOUNDARY and ATTENTION signs, bears W, 14" distant. The other, with a PROPERTY BOUNDARY sign, bears N, 15" from the corner. Found two ponderosa pines with partly healed blazes, yellow BEARING TREE tags and ATTENTION signs on the backsides. Also found two bearing objects, plastic caps on driven lengths of 5/8" rebar, marking sawed-off stumps of original bearing trees.

private property NW and SE from the corner, else Deschutes National Forest land; see also USDI-Bureau of Land Management, Field Notes of the Remonumentation of Certain Original Corner Points, Township 15 South, Range 10 East of the Willamette Meridian in the State of Oregon; Survey Completed August 26, 1966 and also Oregon Corner Restoration Record #0295, filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office
