The equipment here is in great shape, a couple "spin-an-go-puke" (as I called them as a kid) , Old fashion swings, and a plastic climb-around-in-on thing
This community center is used for a lot of events, and also passes for a city park for kids. The playground equipment is old fashioned, but still in great shape and very safe.
Interesting thing I noticed right off. The flag that flies over this community center is a Marine Corps Flag. Very interesting, and very different
An annual event is the mutton BBQ, this years was October 17th, but there will be one next year...
This community center is also the official polling place for this town and the vicinity
A post office called Calwood was established in 1874, and remained in operation until 1922. The community's name is an amalgamation of the names of Cal James and Edward Wood.
