Their death notice appeared in the Canberra Times newspaper published 9 November 1964 & reproduced in Trove Digitised Newspapers, National Library of Australian as:
"The N.S.W. road toll reached 869 yesterday when three people died in a violent two-car collision at Albion Park, on the south coast.
They were among the eight who died on N.S.W. roads this weekend. The three died after their sports car in which they were travelling struck a staunchion at the bridge spanning the Macquarie rivulet. The car swerved into the path of an oncoming vehicle, throwing the three dead onto the road. Those killed were: Kerry Field, 20, of Bellambi, Valerie Green, 19, of Wollongong, and Margaret Walton, 20, of Mittagong."
