ANWB Monument Plaque, with number 638347/001, reads:
"Johannes the Baptist church (ca. 1350)
The first chapel in Vledder (ca. 1000) was probably made of wood. The current tower (ca. 1350) was probably built near that chapel, only after that came the nave (1425) and the choir (1475). The church is one of the oldest in Drenthe. The baptismal font in the church dates from the 11th century and is large enough to, as usual at the time. to immerse a newborn in it. The pulpit is from the end of the 18th century"
