A short quote from Walt Whitman's epic poem "Leaves of Grass" is engraved into one of the two book sculptures at the College Street entrance to The Green. Echoing the literary theme, sheets of bronze with poems on them are scattered through The Green, seeming to have been blown randomly onto walls and structures in the park.
