In the Year 1943, a group of good citizens of the surrounding community decided to erect a monumental structure in honor of the good boys and girls of this community who were called in service of our country.

Built at Fairview Cemetery, and titled Community Service Roll, As the years went by names and material faded In 1972, it was planned to renovate the structure by adding names of anyone residing or who had resided in a three mile radius of this site and to install a plaque with names, map and history of the area. Flowers and shrubbery were replaced and a new flag pole was installed. An annual service is to be held at the community honor roll site.

The memorial stands at the end of the lane and has several plaques, three with rolls from various events, one detailing the history of the monument and a map and the rear including Civil War and GAR veterans
