On the George Bass Coastal Walk is an Interpretative Sign, with a map of the Coastal Walk, showing where "You Are Here", supposedly at the entry from Mabilla Street near Emergency Beach Number #11, [west of Shelly Beach].

The map is quite detailed and accurate for the position of the track and the coast line. You are actually at the end of Seaview Street, which is not shown on the sign. As the top of the says, it is a 7 kilometre walk - One Way, so the return circuit takes approximately 4 hours - for a fit walker finding all the geocaches!!

The Legend identifies: [Bass] Highway, Sealed Roads, Minor/Unsealed Roads, Walking Track, [Anderson-Wonthaggi] Rail Trail, the Coastal Reserve, Car Parking areas, Caravan Park, Picnic Area, Toilets, Emergency Beach Numbers; with a handy and accurate scale. An inset map shows where this area is in comparison to the State of Victoria.

Apart from the detailed map, there are sections on this sign about the early European explorers, Flora and Fauna, Personal Safety, and Caring for the Environment.
