This was the second time I had been over this particular bridge on soldiers Road, but two days before it was too dark to see the embedded Dated Plaque.

On the back road of Lang Lang is this two-lane (just), three span, concrete deck bridge. The deck is supported by SIX large steel I-Beams, with two pairs of concrete pylons in the water of the river. There has been quite a bit of boulder added to the river banks down stream of the bridge for erosion control. There is no 'thought given' for pedestrian access across this bridge, but the road is straight enough that you can easily tell when traffic is coming, and you should have enough time to cross to the closer end.
The silver painted Dated Plaque is well embedded in the rectangular concrete parapet, that is guarded by the 'W-shaped' Arma-Guard railing, and reads:
C.R.B.
1959
[Where C.R.B. equals Country Roads Board (Victoria)]
The first time here (Sunday night for half an hour fruitless searching for: (
visit link) ) I didn't realise there was a Dated Plaque, so grabbed some photos this arvo. The parking coordinates are for the edge of the road opposite to the geocache. From memory, the cache coordinates kept on taking me to the middle of the road, anyway.
