At the intersection with Hood Avenue in Sisters, turn onto Elm Street. In about 0.4 miles, Elm Street becomes FR16, Three Creek Lake Road. Travel S from the intersection for about 1.3 miles and turn right onto the Brooks-Scanlon Logging Road, FR1605. Continue generally NW then W for a total of 1.3 miles to the corner on the right.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on iron pipe; rising 4"
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is about 55' N from the centerline of FR1605, near a lath stake and about 30" S from a fence corner post. Found two ponderosa pines and a western juniper with partly healed blazes and yellow BEARING TREE tags. There is also a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the pine in the SE quadrant.
What property is this mark defining?:
Pine Meadow Ranch Inc. property NE from the corner and private property SW, else Deschutes National Forest land; see also survey CS00578 filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office
