Lion's Park is located across the tracks from the historic Frisco Depot. The park has several historic items like date panels off old buildings in town, and a Davenport steam engine.
This fiberglass statue of a male lion and a cub stands at the south end of the park, near a time capsule. A lion statue is appropriate in this town that has been the wintering home for circuses for over 80 years. This lion has an almost-smile on his face, and doesn't look at all ferocious. He looks a little like he knows something we haven't yet discovered. Hmmmm.
