This handsomely-mounted bell on a stone plinth stands next to the Charlotte Fire Company Memorial in historic Elmwood Cemetery.
Blasterz appreciate explanatory plaques towards of random objects that one finds in one's travels.
We are betting (but are not certain) that the graves around the memorial are of fallen firefighters, though their tombstones don't say that. It looks to us like this is a firefighter's cemetery, and because this bell and its pedestal seem very new to our eyes, we think that this bell is used in annual remembrance ceremonies.
