The National Register's Continuation Sheet (see link to narrative) does not focus on this building as it does for several other key buildings in the district, such as the Evers and Scripture buildings, but it does mention a construction date of 1945, making it one of the youngest contributing buildings in the historic district. Only the building at 209 W Hickory St is younger, by about a year.
