visit link) was a former coaching inn and local inland revenue office once known as the Unicorn, is now a friendly free house.
The Kings Arms dates back to the mid 1500's and was once a prominent coaching Inn, a stopping point for coaches on the London to Chester route. The stables in the original part of the building, can still be seen today.
The hanging pub sign has a picture of soldiers wearing red uniforms holding firearms and involved in a confrontation.
The pub name Kings Arms is written in gold lettering at the top of the sign and the words 'An Enterprise Inn Free House' at the bottom.
The pub has recently been refurbished after having been left to languish over many years the Kings is now in private hands and once again at the center of the Eccleshall community.
They serve meals and offer a range of Ales, Gins, Malts and other spirits. This pub is Cask Marque Accredited and serves 6 changing beers.
There are four en-suite rooms that have been newly renovated to a high standard and let on a B & B basis. The rate includes breakfast, free WiFi and free parking and guests.
The Kings Arms Hotel is situated in the middle of the village with easy access to local amenities and countryside, a few miles from the M6 and Stafford.
