The Border between Florida & Alabama used to be the old Perido Pass Then in 1906 a hurricane came along & moved the pass 3 miles, made a 7 acre lake dissapear, & formed a new Island (Ono) & created Florida Point. this started a border dispute which was pemenantly resolved on May 29 1953.
