We found this cemetery whilst visiting the Old Fashion Days Festival, held annually, over the Labor Day weekend, in the small north western Hendricks County, Indiana town of North Salem. As a part of this festival, a tractor pull and plowing display are held at the park and a large classic car show is held on the main street through town, on the Sunday.
North Salem is a town in Eel River Township, Hendricks County, Indiana, United States, and is located west of the capitol of Indiana, Indianapolis, and only has a population of a little over 500 people. The number of vistors, to this popular festival often top 10,000 over the course of the holiday weekend. North Salem was laid out in 1835. A post office was established at North Salem in 1839. North Salem was incorporated as a town in 1899. The town is located in the North West corner of Hendricks County. Two State roads cross here, SR75 and SR236. (
