On the south side of the post that the Orientation Table is affixed to is rectangular (but curved to fit the post) bronze plaque, which reads:

"Trig Point Lookout Directional Dial
donated by the

September 2001"

There are 18 wooden steps on a curved staircase that lead up from the crushed gravel track to the circular lookout platform. There is a warning plaque at the base, to keep clear if there is a thunderstorm.
