The larger-than-life statue of Pietro Paleocapa stands at the entrance to the park. It shows the engineer seated and elegantly dress. The inscription on the front base says: "Pietro Paleocapa, De' Moderni Idraulici Principe". English: "Pietro Paleocapa, Prince of Modern Hydraulic".

Pietro Paleòcapa (Nese, 11 November 1788 - Turin, 13 February 1869) was a scientist, politician and engineer Italian.
