In New Shoreham, at Isaac's Corner, is an Indian Burial Ground.

The cemetery is located at the intersection of Lakeside Drive and Old Centre Road, on the northeast corner of the intersection.

On the Lakeside Drive side (South), there is a roughly hewn stone with the following words:

"In honor of the Manisseans
Their ancestors and descendants."

The cemetery is behind a stone wall that curves around the corner. The site is grassy, with some low-height monuments in the ground.

According to one article in the Block Island Times, the area is known as Isaac's Corner, after Isaac Church, the last of the local Native Americans to live on the island, who died in 1886. The article stated, " Indian custom dictated burial of the dead in an upright position, with a pot of clams or oysters beside them to speed them on their way to the next life."

According to the entry in the Rhode Island Cemetery Database, in 1994 a survey counted 114 fieldstones, but it is likely that there are more - they estimate 150. The plot size is about 150 ft by 200 ft. The oldest burial is 1809, and the last is 1918.
