At Johns Hill is not just a Trig Point, but also an Interpretative Sign with an Orientation Table.

At the top left of the sign is the following paragraph, giving the reason for the naming of this high point:

"Johns Hill reserve is named after a Welsh settler by the name of John Johns, who purchased a property on the ridge above Menzies Creek in 1878. By the beginning of the 20th Century, his butter and cheese was well known in the district."

Below that is a line drawing of the neighbouring Johns Hill Trigonometric Station, below which it states "You are here", and gives the Coordinates of the trig point. [S37° 54' 43" E145° 25' 03"]

Then, in the centre of the sign is a Sector Diagram/Orientation Table, that shows the relationship of this trig, to other trigs that were used to create a series of maps of the area. In the centre of that diagram is the "You are here" shown as the main diagram.
