Located across the tracks from the historic Frisco Depot, in a park which displays several historic items of interest is this Davenport narrow gauge steam engine.

It is a Davenport Locomotive Works steam locomotive (also recorded by one source as being built by H. K. Porter). It is a 0-4-OT saddle tanker, known as a "Dinkie". It is a 4'8-1/2" gauge. (visit link)

The Frisco Depot Museum web page indicates it was previously used by a logging operation near Poteau, Oklahoma, and before that, in the coal mines in McAlester. (visit link)

The locomotive is rusted and its painted designations are weathered. The number "1907" is located on its left side, and the designation "DkW OZA R.R. CO." (in Cherokee) on the right side.
