Hier maturierte 1931 der Dichter
JURA SOYFER
Er starb 1939 im KZ Buchenwald.
Voll Hunger und voll Brot ist diese Erde,
voll Leben und voll Tod ist diese Erde ...
und ihre Zukunft ist herrlich und groß.
Die letzten 3 Zeilen der Inschrift sind aus der 3. Strophe des Gedichts "Das Lied von der Erde" entnommen.
Jura Soyfer:
Jura Soyfer (geboren 8. Dezember 1912 in Charkow, Gouvernement Charkow, Russisches Kaiserreich; gestorben 16. Februar 1939 im KZ Buchenwald) war in den 1930er Jahren ein politischer Schriftsteller in Österreich. Er publizierte in mehreren Zeitschriften und verfasste insgesamt fünf Stücke und drei erhaltene Szenen, die bis heute aufgeführt werden.
