OSU's Welcome Plaza is located on the SE side of campus, west of the Alumni building, and east of the Journalism building. The focal point of the plaza is a beautiful sculpture by Marrita Black. According to the OSU link below, the mare represents the OSU faculty or parents of OSU students, and the foal represents the students, ready to enter the world.

The north side of the plaza features the duo of horses, and the south side of the plaza features a fountain, dedicated benches, and some western-themed sculptures.
