Fire Station #1 is located in one of the oldest neighborhoods of Salt Lake City. The area is composed of homes from the late 1910's through modern apartments of the 2017's. The responders of this station may also be called upon to cover high rise fires in the central business district as well as emergencies in the nearby foothills and canyons. They would also support crews in the university campus shortly to the east.
