Long Description:
The Lion House was built in 1856 as one of the residences of Brigham Young. It has twenty bedrooms for some of his multiple wives. The lion is located above the central front window of the house facing east. It is carved of red sandstone. It was created by William F. Ward and his name can be noted on the base.
