The family name, "Daniel", is on the plinth, with this inscription:

P.B. Daniel

Born
Aug. 29, 1879

Died
Dec. 3, 1905

Noell Junction
Camp No. 1903

Gone from our home
But not from our
hearts.

---

Historical note: Noell Junction was named for an early area settler, Sidney Smith Noell, who had donated land to the railroad in exchange for a coaling station. By 1905, the settlement had grown to the point that a post office was established, and since a "Noell" already existed in Texas, the name of the first postmaster, Addison Robertson, was used. Addison is a few miles west of Garland.
Was the inscription legible?: Yes
