McKinney Arts CommissionThe Art Nouveau-style mural by Misty Oliver-Foster highlights the city’s long history in the cotton industry and features native wildflowers.
“As the cotton flows down the hill, it leads your eye to a group of wildflowers that are native to the McKinney area. These were also selected because they represent modern-day McKinney. The Indian Paintbrush flower represents the fine arts, the Texas Wine Cup flower and wheat represent the fine dining in downtown, and the Trumpet flower represents live music,” said Oliver-Foster.
