The Frisco depot was built in 1914 and is a very large two-story brick depot, which housed not only the train depot, but also a Harvey House restaurant and living quarters for the Harvey Girl waitresses. The depot was actively used as such until the 1960s.

In 1977, the Choctaw County Historical Society formed and purchased the depot, which they remodeled into an extensive history museum of the area. The two floors are filled with photos, documents and rooms reconstructed and furnished to show the active and diverse history of this town.

Among the rooms on display are a railroad waiting room, Harvey House restaurant, farm home, barbershop and medical office. They have a miniature railroad display, as well as a circus display since Hugo was the wintering location for several well known circuses. You can see a telephone switchboard from the past, antique toys, rodeo paraphernalia and a military display.

A table near the entrance to the museum has a ring binder guest log for visitors to sign, as well as a jar for donations. The museum is open Monday to Saturday: 10:00 - 4:00.
