A realistic life size bronze sculpture of a World War I soldier holding a Lewis Machine Gun was created by Morgan MacDonald in 2012. It was dedicated on November 11, 2012. The soldier is standing on individual bronze plinths on a square granite base in which is embedded a group of four forget-me-not flowers. The soldier is shown in full combat dress. He is wearing a helmet, jacket, trousers and knee high boots. H has a holstered piston in his belt on his right side and a kit hanging by his right hip. He is looking down and slightly to his right while holding a Lewis Machine Gun by the stock with his left hand over his left shoulder.

A bronze plaque attached to the base of a nearby flagpole is inscribed:

FORGET ME NOT
