Texas Historic Sites Atlas

Built in 1889. Putnam Russell, architect. 1 1/2-story frame dwelling; 2-story tower with bell-shaped roof and large finial; asymmetrical massing.

It was built for Morris and Henrietta Aron, a merchant who sold the house and returned to New York in 1895. In 1897 Plummer and Josie Harris purchased the house, which remained in the family until 1951.
