This somber Memorial obelisk is made of gray granite and stands in a place of honor near the larger veterans monument on the west side of Calhoun County Courthouse grounds.
The memorial obelisk is rests on a base which is inscribed as follows:
"This monument was erected in memory of those from Calhoun County who gave their lives in service to their country."
