Texas Historic Sites Atlas

Two-story brick dwelling with gable roof; two-story pedimented portico with 2-story Corinthian columns; classically detailed entablature with small Corinthian columns marks front entry.

This house built in 1921 replaced a Queen Anne-style house that John Heard had built on this site in the 1890s. He was an extremely successful merchant and was involved in the establishment of most of McKinney's early industrial concerns.
