The Cocohatchee River flows about 9 miles thru north Naples to Wiggins Pass on the Gulf coast. Trail to the coordinates starts at Barefoot Beach ($8 per car entrance). Trail is 1.25 miles thru the gopher tortoise preserve. Optionally, you can walk down the beach from Barefoot Beach south to Wiggins Pass. As long as the sun is out, there will be tourists on the beach, and folks fishing in the surf. Twice, while walking the beach, I've seen bald eagles perched in the trees.
