Pendant les guerres de Religion, les habitants massacrèrent le seigneur du lieu. Le parlement de Provence a fait pendre les meneurs et les habitants ont été contraints de construire cette chapelle en expiation du massacre des Pontevès.
EN The chapel Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs or expiatory chapel dates from 1607. During the wars of religion, the inhabitants massacred the lord of the place. The Parliament of Provence has hanged the leaders and the inhabitants were forced to build this chapel in expiation of the Pontevès massacre.
