Most water towers are bold, in your face structures, standing tall and commanding the situation. Not this shy little water tower. We almost didn't see her, peeking through the high trees, alongside the road.
She is located south of Highway 70and south of Railroad Avenue, just west of Main Street. This is a cylindrical tank with a domed top, standing on four legs. She stands in the middle of a wooded area and does not appear to have any access, vehicle or pedestrian (See aerial photo.) We can only assume that she is no longer in use.
