Primarily, Lincoln's 50000 Silver Dollar Bar, a bar, restaurant and casino, once had 10,000 silver dollars mounted and on display on the walls and was known as the World Famous 10,000 Silver Dollar Bar. When they hit 50,000 silver dollars the name became the 50,000 Silver Dollar Bar. They no longer have 50,000 silver dollars. The day we visited, the count had risen to 71,047, with silver dollars under the bar, covering the walls, hanging from the ceiling, pretty much everywhere they can fit a few more silver dollars. Naturally, they refuse to repaint their sign each time another is added to the collection, so the name remains "Lincoln's 50,000 Silver Dollar Bar". We suppose that it may well change again when they hit 100,000. The collection is the largest of its kind anywhere. As well, their 5,000 square foot gift shop is the largest in Montana.

We happened to have breakfast in the restaurant and must say that we highly recommend it. Their chicken fried steak is as good as we've experienced anywhere and the portions are sufficiently large that we both needed to resort to doggie bags for a portion of our breakfasts, something that is quite rare for us. . Breakfast is available all day and the price is quite reasonable. On top of that, they offer Senior Citizens' and U.S. Government employee discounts.

In keeping with the surname of the family who started the business in 1952, and whose descendants still operate it, there is even a wood carving of "Old Abe", Abraham Lincoln, in the bar.

The largest collection of its kind is displayed in this unique bar in Western Montana. This 50,000 plus Silver Dollar collection was started by Gerry and Marie Lincoln in 1952. Now in their fourth generation, the Lincoln family continues the Silver Dollar collection. People from all over the world have their names inscribed. Over $2500 are embedded in the bar top with the remainder graciously adorning the surrounding walls and ceiling. The total facility includes a restaurant, motel, free RV parking, gas station, convenience store, casinos, and Montana’s largest gift shop.

Located on Interstate 90 just inside the Western border of Montana, you'll find us at Haugan, Exit 16. Don't worry about getting lost!! You'll see us just 100 yards off the interchange when you exit.
