This marker can be found near the cemetery next to the Caloco Saloon. This is in the park so you will need admittion to see it. The marker is cemented into a rock slab next to the old school house bulding. "Constructed in 1868, this was the first school in the Rivera District. It was previously located on Shugg Lane, now Slauson Avenue."
