Along the road at the cemetery between the villages of Berschweiler bei Kirn and Bergen is a memorial of the former village "Wassenach" and its church.
This memorial reads:
In this area used to be the place
Wassenach
He was first mentioned in documents in 1283.
Soil finds suggest that he is already in
the Stone Age was inhabited. The place was on the
Fork of two Roman roads and was therefore
