First Baptist Garvin is located at the intersection of Williams Avenue and Spaulding Street in this town of about 250 residents. The church is part of the Frisco Baptist Association.
The church is a one-story brick L-shaped building, with a gable roof and a slender spire. In front of the church on a brick pedestal is a bell that once rang at an earlier building of First Baptist. No information could be determined about the bell or the former building. The bell is supported by its yoke and wheel, and a cord is attached which indicates the bell is still rung on occasions.
