Standing on the grounds of the library, this is a two-faced free standing clock of the variety erected in many towns during the centennial of Oklahoma statehood.
The clock was manufactured by The Verdin Company out of Cincinnati, OH. Its two faces have Roman numerals, and above the faces is shown "Est. 1911 Broken Bow", celebrating the establishment of the town.
The beautiful Public Library building was constructed in the 1930's by the National Youth Administration and was originally part of the high school campus, but was given to the library in 1990. It is a one-story building constructed of native sand stone.
