"The park uses a single-use water system which draws water from a bore and requires no chemical treatment. Used water is drained into the river, adding to the natural flows."

"The $525,000 project was developed by Alpine Shire Council in partnership with the Bright Community Bank Branch ($60,000 contribution), Bright Rotary Club ($20,000 contribution) and the Victorian State Government ($300,000)." Alpine Shire Council report: (visit link)

A brushed stainless steel plaque, on a rusty trapezoidal steel sheet has the following information:

"The Bright Splash Park is the result of the vision and determination of the community to create an adventurous play space that interacts with the natural environment and reflects the mining history of the area.

"The Splash Park has been made possible through the financial support of the Bright Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank, the Rotary Club of Bright, Alpine Shire Council and the Victorian Government.

"Opened by Dr Bill Sykes on October 31, 2014."
