This tractor crane for logging contains a placard in front that tells us its history and reads:

AMERICAN LOG BUNCHER
SERIAL NO. 1397            WEIGHT 110,000
BUNCHED LOGS AT WEED LUMBER COMPANY
MADE BY AMERICAN HOIST AND
DERRICK COMPANY ST. PAUL MINNESOTA,
MARCH 1926. THE 12 FOOT HIGH WHEELS
COULD REACH OUT AND SPOT LOADS IN
THE CLEAR SO WHEELS DID NOT HANG UP
ON STUMPS, INCREASING PRODUCTION,
RADICALLY REDUCING BREAKAGE.
LOGGERS INVENTED ARCHES AND
IMPROVED CATS TO GET EVEN MORE LOGS.
MORE PRODUCTION MEANS MORE TO DIVIDE
AMONG ALL OF US.

Allow at least an hour to fully appreciate all there is to offer here at the outdoor museum.
