This old and rusted 'Bulldog' Mack truck contains a placard nearby that tells us some history of the Mack trucks and reads:
"Built Like a Mack Truck"
Famed Hardiness
With its slogan and trademark bulldog, the Mack Truck Company gained a worldwide reputation for tough gas- and diesel-powered vehicles. Although the first vehicle built and sold by the Mack brothers' company was a sightseeing bus in Chicago, the company soon branched out to build a variety of heavy-duty work vehicles. A pressed steel frame for durability and cabover design for good visibility were among the Mack's innovations.
Six thousand Mack trucks were delivered to American and British troops during World War I. The trucks' toughness led the British to nickname them "bulldogs."
The new "Bulldog Mack" truck entered the logging business in 1916 and remained in production through 1939.
I wasn't able to gather any info on this Mack truck's year of production. Allow at least an hour to fully appreciate all there is to offer at this outdoor museum.
