With rough sawn timber panelling for part of the front of the airport, it looks quite rustic. There is a reasonable sized car park, with room for coaches.

It is not far from the Great Alpine Road, which enables the airport customers to get to their final destination ASAP.

In July 2005 (winter time) a Piper Navajo Chieftain charter plane crashed on approach, killing the pilot and the two passengers. (visit link)

Non-airplane access: Turn off the Great Alpine Road at a corrugated iron sign that clearly announces the nearby airport, and drive down Mount Hotham Airport Road. Plenty of parking available
