In Providence, within the campus of Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), is the RISD Museum.
The museum is located along Benefit Street, near the intersection with Waterman Street. Parking is a challenge in this neighborhood - good luck finding a spot.
RISD Museum is in a multi-floor building with many rooms, featuring various works of art. After paying admission, we were instructed to go up to the top floor, then work our way through the rooms and down floor by floor. Exhibits include: a collection of a mixture of modern compared to old pieces; ancient Asian textiles and clothing compared to student works based on studies; a large Buddha sculpture and other Asian sculptures; interior house furniture and dinner placings, and a collection of impressionist pieces.
