On the east side of C.B. Wright Auditorium on the campus of Stroud High School is a plaza honoring the school spirit and the teams, "The Tigers".
At the southwest corner of the plaza is this native sand stone pillar approximately eight feet high, constructed to match the stone work in the stadium wall which was built in 1936 by the WPA. At the top of the pillar is a clock face with Arabic numerals.
A bronze plaque mounted to the side of the pillar reads: "From our times at SHS we dedicate this monument / "We are the Tigers" / Class of 2006." Beneath this are the names of the Class Sponsors, the School Principal and the Superintendent.
