The North border of the Temperance Colony was called Clark’s Crossing, after John Fowler Clark. Clark operated a ferry near the present CP rail at Clarkboro. Clark was granted permission to operate a postal service in the area in 1884. The Dominion Telegraph Line from Fort Garry (Winnipeg) to Fort Edmonton crossed the N. Saskatchewan River at the North border of the Temperance Colony.

In 1890 The Qu'Appelle, Long Lake and Saskatchewan Railroad and Steamboat Company built the railway from Regina to Prince Albert through Saskatoon. Traditionally the railway companies named the community and the station at the time that they built the railway. Thus logic tells us that it was the QLSRSC which named the local railway station Clark’s Crossing.

The Railway station was located about 500 meters (?) south of this marker and close to the West side of the track. A siding lay East of the present track. In 1905 the post office and general store was opened in the home located about 500 meters (?) West and south of the station. The first postmaster here was Mr. Johann Driedger. This facility closed in 1953. The train station was sold in 1961.
