This WW2 Memorial is in the centre of McMillan Street, on the eastern side of Great Alpine Road.

It is a grey granite Broken Column, standing about 4 metres tall. The western side details 'the Great War', and the 14 local soldiers killed.

The northern side, upper face has the following inscription:

 World War II
  1939 - 1945
 In Memory of
 Our Brave Men
W.F.G. Armit
E.C.S. Boucher
J.L. Dorrington
J.D. Doyle
S.H. Tremayne
Who fell fighting for
  King and Country

On the lower face of the western side is the following:

  Erected by the residents
    of the Tambo Valley.
    This Broken Column,
 symbolic of lives cut short,
is Dedicated to the Memory of
     the Men and Women
 of this District who Served
Australia in War and Conflict.
