This bronze sculpture of a tiger is mounted atop a four foot high native sand stone block which contains a time capsule. The tiger is life-sized and on the prowl, with his mouth growling. On his leg is the name Barye and the date 1833. Antoine-Louis Barye (1796-1875) was a French sculptor who created beautiful animal sculptures.

A plaque mounted to the stone base reads: "2005 / Stroud Tiger Heritage / Dedicated to the heritage of the past, present, and future generations of Stroud School Students who have that Tiger Spirit instilled in their hearts and minds. To the human spirit of life-long learning and to the tradition of those who have excelled on the fields, the courts and in the many Tiger activities. The path you travel builds your future characterized by that special Tiger Spirit instilled deep in your heart while associated with the greatest school and community on earth. / "Stroud Tigers" / Funding provided by The Richard James Family Foundation"
