This handsome multi-war memorial dedicated to the men and women of Lafayette County to died in war contains the names of the three men who was killed in action during the Korean War.

This memorial features a beautiful dedication writted by the great American author and playwright William Faulkner (who lived in Oxford and taught at Ole Miss), as follows:

"IN MEMORIAM

They held not theirs, but all men's liberty
Far from home, to this last sacrifice."
